I recently visited Milk Bar in New York City for a late-night treat after dinner, intrigued by their unique offering of cereal milk ice cream. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. I thought it might be okay, but I ended up not liking it at all. The ice cream lacked flavor and the cereal milk taste just wasn't for me. On the bright side, the service was good. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the overall experience pleasant despite my disappointment with the ice cream. While Milk Bar's cereal milk ice cream wasn't to my taste, others might enjoy it.

The place was so pretty and organized in such an intriguing way. There were build your own cake and cookie section with a whole case of cake of your choice. I was so tempted to buy a whole cake to myself since it looked super pretty. The service was quite quick and provided all my order very quickly. The only thing I think they should do better on is keeping the tables and floors a bit cleaner. Some of the tables and chairs were dirty with the frosting (customers fault as well) We ordered their popular milk cereal ice cream with popular topping choices of cereal and fudge (it was a tad pricey - $1.25 for a small amount of topping). The ice cream was okay and I can't say it was really good. It was more salty than sweet for me. It gave a weird aftertaste. We also got the chocolate birthday cake and that was delicious. It was moist and very chocolaty to my taste. Go for the cakes, highly recommended.

Heard good things about this place and had some family in town so we decided to stop in. Perfect dessert or snake place. Soft serve ice cream and you can add toppings. The flavor is cereal milk which is an interesting and unique flavor. They also had cookies and plenty of cakes. There was also a custom section if you wanted to create your own cake. The cereal milk flavor was good. Adding the toppings was a good move. Next time I'll try the cookies and/or cakes. They have seating and a store here as well. Staff was nice and they nice to enough to walk us thru the menu being first time visitors.

It would seem that some people got the wrong expectation about Milk Bar from Chef's Table on Netflix. Is Milk Bar some sort of exclusive gourmet patisserie that you have to order a year in advance from? No. It's a spot that makes damn good sweets and cakes for everyone. I was very impressed with everything I ate. Was it really sweet? Yeah. And I enjoyed every second of it. That said, some of the other offerings at Milk Bar are a little hit or miss. The cereal milk latte? Fantastic. The seasonal cookies and cream latte? Not so much... So, your milage may vary on stuff like that. But if you are there for the sweets, you won't be disappointed.

Came to Milk Bar around midnight and there was a short line and plenty of seating. I ordered the cereal milk cup with cornflakes and I don't know what I was expecting but it was so good. The ice cream was creamy yet light, not too sweet. The cornflakes offered a crunchy texture without being overbearing. This was actually so yummy, and may be my new favorite dessert in the city. It is a bit on the pricier side, around ~$9-10. Also the cereal milk is the only flavor of ice cream they had. I asked about their ice cream flavors and the cashier looked at me like I was stupid LOL My friend ordered the birthday cake and I personally thought it was so so. The cake was refrigerated so it tasted a bit stiff.
